What will you do?
As a parcel delivery driver, your workday starts at our sorting center. You check your route, load the van and put the parcels in a logical place. This way, you can always quickly find the right parcel while on the road.
Then you hit the road. You deliver parcels to people's homes and to businesses. You are the face of PostNL and make sure customers get the pleasant delivery moment they count on.
You work during the day and are out and about for around 7 to 8 hours. You don't drive many kilometers and frequently get in and out of your van. Great for staying active and spending lots of time outdoors! Ideal if you like being active and get energy from the freedom of the road.
At the end of your shift, you drive back to the sorting center. You hand in the van and return the parcels you were unable to deliver.
What do you bring?
You can work well independently, are reliable and are happy to help your colleagues. You keep a cool head when things get busy or difficult. With your good mood, you are PostNL's calling card. In addition:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have a valid driver's license that allows you to drive in the Netherlands and at least 3 months of driving experience.
- You have a good command of Dutch and/or English.
- You are fit and strong enough to lift both light and heavy parcels.
- You can submit a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
What do we offer you?
- A contract for 7 months. If you perform well, you may then receive a permanent contract.
- A salary of € 2.557 per month (based on a full-time working week). This amounts to an hourly wage of € 14,99. Including holiday allowance, that is € 16,19 per hour. We pay holiday allowance annually in May. In addition, you receive a 40% allowance for the hours you work on Saturdays.
- A pension contribution (from age 18).
- Travel expense reimbursement.
- Five weeks of holiday per year with a full-time job.
- Payment of your overtime or saving it up for extra days off.
